Lloyd and Donne

Donne  
Hi, I’m Donne, and this is my husband, Lloyd. We’ve been with Waterbridge for the past five years, and our adviser is Lee White.

Lloyd
I went to Waterbridge because it got to the point in my life where I needed some good advice because I was coming to retirement. I needed to know where I stood for the future.

My aspiration was to understand what kind of income I would eventually be getting, to help me decide when to retire. I’d been speaking with friends where I used to work and there were a few people with Waterbridge, and they recommended them to me. So, I made some phone calls.

Donne  
We first started at Waterbridge with Howard, who made us feel at ease when he was explaining where we were with our finances and our pensions and everything and we liked that he said everything in terms that we could understand. With Howard coming up to retirement himself, he introduced us to Lee. Lee has taken over where Howard left off, and everything has been plain sailing.

Lloyd
My first issue was that I had various pension pots scattered all over in different places. So, we talked about amalgamation into one pot, which Lee helped with alongside Howard, and we got them into a pot that’s helped us retire earlier. We’re getting a better return on our investments, so it’s working really well for us.

Donne  
We can see where we’re going, how our investments are growing, and we know that going into the future, where nobody knows how things are going to be, that we’re going to be comfortable. And it’s nice to know that we can sit back and not have to worry about anything.

Lloyd
It makes me feel happy and relaxed when I’m talking with Lee and working with Waterbridge; they just make you feel so comfortable. There’s no gobbledy-gook, if you want to be precise, it’s all easy and it makes you feel so comfortable.

Donne  
The best thing about working with Lee and the Waterbridge team is nothing is too much trouble for them; they are on hand, and their advice is second to none, and it’s nice to know going forward, we know where we’re going to be in the future.

I would describe Lee White as a nice, funny bloke, and there’s not a bad word to say about him.

Donne  
Another good thing about Waterbridge is they’re so flexible. If you’re not happy with going to and being in an office environment, they’re quite happy to come to your home and deal with your finances and explain things in your own environment, so that you don’t feel that everything’s quite so daunting. It’s just that nice little touch that Waterbridge do.

Lloyd
If you do get a home visit from Lee, just make sure you’ve got a couple of packets of chocolate Hobnobs, because he’s quite partial.

I like working with Lee because it’s simplicity in itself; there’s nothing complicated. If I need some extra financial income for a short while, I just call him up, we have a discussion, and it’s sorted within a matter of days. Or otherwise, if I don’t need it that much, same again. It’s so simple.

The best piece of advice that Waterbridge has given me through Howard and then Lee is “Don’t worry about it. Do what you want to do in life and don’t be restricted. If you can do things, do them.”

I definitely recommend Waterbridge. They’ve helped us on our way, we’ve recommended them to several of our friends and even our grandchildren are asking about finances in the future already, and we’re getting them ready to take the same step that we did to be looked after by a competent team that explain things in layman’s terms.
