Are you independent?

Yes, we are an independent firm, which means that we are not tied to any financial institution. This allows us to search the whole of the market to find solutions that best suit your needs.

Are you regulated?

Yes, we are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. You can view our profile on the FCA register here.

Can you advise on final salary/defined benefit transfers?

Although we hold the qualifications to advise on this, we would use third-party providers as part of the advice process.

There will always be a locum appointed to handle queries.

What do you charge for a financial plan?

We charge a minimum of £750 for a standalone financial plan, including research and exploration, but we deduct this fee from our initial advice fee should you go ahead and implement the plan. You can read more about our fees here.

We would look to review the ongoing suitability of your plan annually.

Do you take a percentage, or are your fees fixed?

We work on a percentage basis depending on the level of service we provide. On occasion, we can also agree on fixed fees depending on the complexity of individual cases.

How do you stay updated on changes in financial regulations?

We are directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, but we also work with our compliance partner True Potential.

Do you get commission?

There are instances where commission might be payable on an insurance product, but all investment and pension contracts are paid through an agreed fee either directly by the client or through their product.

Do you charge VAT?

We do not currently charge VAT for our services. This may change in the future should legislation change around services provided. However, we do charge VAT on a standalone financial plan should you choose to not go ahead and implement the plan.
