Leonie and Steve

Steve  
Hi, I’m Steve and this is Leonie. We’ve been clients of Waterbridge since their inception, and clients of Greig’s for six years.

Leonie
I was in the process of deciding about whether to take a drawdown from my company pension, and I’d been given a number of names who could help me with that – one of the people was Greig Godfrey. I met a number of people, and Greig was the person who I really felt was very similar to myself when thinking about risk and so on.

I needed somebody who could explain it in a lot of detail. I was quite risk averse and I needed somebody who could really talk me through my options and appreciate that it was a big decision to make. And I really felt that Greig was able to do that for us.

A number of people who I knew had spoken with Greig, and he was one of the names that people were discussing, amongst others, and he was somebody that I thought, “Yes, I think I might be able to work with him.” Therefore, myself and Steve set up a meeting – a number of meetings in fact – to establish whether we felt that he was the right person for us.

Steve  
One of the reasons we chose Greig was that he was personable, reliable, and knowledgeable, and he was happy to come to our home address and discuss matters at a time that suited us.

Leonie
I feel confident in Greig. I feel that I’m able to approach him. I think that over the years, I’ve become more knowledgeable because he’s passed his expertise on, so, I’m less likely to be ringing him every week as I was in the beginning. But without a doubt, I know that I can approach him. The Waterbridge staff are excellent, the support team are good in the offices, and the people who do the cashflows and the like are really knowledgeable about what they do.

Steve  
Greig has given us advice and assistance on a multitude of situations, such as a house purchase, vehicle purchase and various pieces of advice on matters that we needed assistance with from an expert in this field.

Leonie
I’m happy with the way that things are going. I feel as though Greig has given me good advice. Waterbridge have a good structure, a good set of people, and there’s a lot of expertise within Waterbridge. I feel as confident as you can be in these quite volatile times.

Steve  
I’d describe Greig as professional, knowledgeable, and personable.

Leonie
He allows you to make your own decisions because, of course, his role is not to give advice and then make decisions for you. He lays out all the evidence and he’s able to give past examples and he’s got a good memory of what you’ve told him, and he can use that in order to build a picture, if you like. He builds the picture and then guides you to make your own decisions.

Steve  
I’d say the best thing about working with Waterbridge is that they’re a modern, forward-thinking company. They’re very proactive, approachable, and they also give you peace of mind.

I’d definitely recommend Greig and the Waterbridge team. I feel that they’re very professional, experienced, knowledgeable and approachable.
